Open Futures cookit resources

Resources giving early-years and primary-age children the opportunity to really understand where their food comes from and how it relates to who they are. Topics include a catalogue of over 100 recipes, cooking risk assessment, knife safety and using cooking to engage with parents and the wider community.

The resources were developed by the Open Futures programme, an education initiative created by the Helen Hamlyn Trust, which ran from 2005-2017 working with over 80,000 pupils at 164 schools throughout England. All the teaching resources developed for the programme are now available as free downloads - just go to the website and scroll down to the resources section.
